Hi Chris, I unfortunately must correct my opinion about my solution of "having read posts" by means of google books iframes - these posts load rather slowly and, by the way, they are not that much IndieWeb like.

Indiewebify my static Hugo website

1 min read

Log in to webmention service

Darin alles, was webmention enthält, in die eigene CSS-Datei kopieren. In meinem Fall in die CSS meines Hugo-Themes Mainroad.

Dritter Schritt - Neuer Build

Via IndieWeb kommentieren

Thanks to Barry Frost, I have understood in the end how commenting works with IndieWeb: https://barryfrost.com/2015/01/how-to-comment. My CMS Known does that automatically behind the scenes. But now I know what is actually happening.

Why Facebook's new Open Graph makes us all part of the web underclass | Technology | The Guardian

When you own a domain you're a first class citizen of the web. A householder and landowner. What you can do on your own website is only very broadly constrained by law and convention. You can post the content you like. You can run the software you want, including software you've written or customised yourself. And you can design it to look the way you want.

If you use a paid-for web service at someone else's domain you're a tenant. A second class citizen. You don't have much control.

When you use a free web service you're the underclass. At best you're a guest. At worst you're a beggar, couchsurfing the web and scavenging for crumbs. It's a cliché but worth repeating: if you're not paying for it, you're aren't the customer, you're the product.

I have updated to Known 0.9.2 - and my connection to instagram does not work anymore. I have failed to adapt the "hack" to the new endpoint.php and token.php. Which version of Known are you using? Will it work a second time? Here is the "hack": https://github.com/idno/IndiePub/compare/master...kylewm:ownyourgram-hack#diff-30930d3a93ffd1fa351c0838dff78bba

Updated my social blogging CMS to version 0.9.2 - Had to download latest twitter plugin.

Quill Editor

By means of the IndieWeb Editor Quill by Aaron Parecki it is possible to write posts via e-mail.

As a prerequisite you need a twitter account for reasons of authentification. And furthermore you need to have enabled the plugin IndiePub in Known.

This e-mail I wrote:

E-Mail to Known

Quill gives me the chance of editing a post via mail! So I am writing this
mail to test it. I can even attach a photo that should be published, too!

I will look up what photos I have.
